Dr. Koichi Yuki, M.D. is the PI of the Yuki Lab and the Director of Cardiac Anesthesia Research at Boston Children's Hospital – Harvard Medical School. The laboratory has a broad interest in deciphering how immune cells cause organ injury in sepsis and sterile inflammation, particularly focusing on myeloid cells. The overarching goal of the scientific work has been to define key molecular pathways in pathogenesis or organ injury and to identify novel targets for therapeutic development.
Postdoctoral research fellow position is immediately available in the Yuki lab at Harvard Medical School-Boston Children's Hospital. Postdoctoral candidate may have opportunities to apply grants to pursue independent research directions.
[Job duties]
Ongoing research efforts in our group aim to:
*Elucidate how to target integrins are involved in myeloid cell functions and contribute to organ injury
*Determining immunological alternation in sepsis patients and in patients undergoing congenital heart surgery.
*Explore therapeutics for our target molecules
*Determine immunological profiles in the perioperative setting to understand surgically induced immune-modulation and its association with postoperative outcomes for therapeutic intervention.

- 応募資格
- Successful candidates should hold PhD or MD in Biology or related field AND have at least one first author paper published in a peer-reviewed journal. Proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
We welcome applicants with any research background, but the priority will be given to those have a strong background in –omics data analysis (scRNA seq, bulk RNA seq) and/or basic immunological experiment (flow cytometry analysis, quantitative microscopy skills). - 待遇
- Salary is based on NIH standard: https://www.niaid.nih.gov/grants-contracts/salary-cap-stipends. Health insurance, vacation, sick leave and other benefits will be separated provided
Successfully postdoctoral research fellow may have opportunities to apply grants to pursue independent research directions.
