Chemistry teacher, sub-homeroom teacher, and leader of curriculum policy and development for Cambridge International school. Plan, deliver, and assess 16 classes per week as follows: 4 hours of junior high school science (chemistry, biology & physics) classes, 3 hours of senior high school fundamental chemistry, 3 hours of senior high school core chemistry, 4 hours of chemistry including labs and 3 English classes. Class sizes range from 5 students to 27. All lessons are delivered in English, however, applicants should preferably be experienced in teaching a range of courses to students of varying English language abilities and be able to produce supplementary material and exams in line with Cambridge International IGCSE and A Level curriculum. Conduct morning and afternoon homeroom classes twice weekly. Attend weekly science and staff meetings conducted in Japanese and liaise between native English and Japanese members of staff. Oversee high school entrance exams and standardised university exams. Prepare for (setting evaluation criteria and schedules) and implement (administration, score tabulation, preparation of judgment materials) overseas entrance examinations. Attend school events, parents meetings, and supervise on school trips. Provide support and advice for student thesis paper writing. Establish benchmarks for new Cambridge curriculum alongside the curriculum coordinator department. Knowledge of Cambridge International teaching and learning approaches is a bonus. Self-initiate continued learning and development in relation to the role.
